Riverside City College- Welcome Day helps prepare students for their first day of school. At Welcome Day, you will learn how to prepare for college, how faculty and staff support your academics, how to find life balance and the many options to pay for college.
There will be faculty and staff presentations, a resource fair, club rush and campus tours. Many students will also have the opportunity to also see their engagement center. Join in the fun and get ready for college. Welcome Day kicks off at 8AM - 12PM on Friday August 22nd , 2025.
Engagement Centers:
Each RCC student is supported by one of five Academic Engagement Centers. The Academic Engagement Center you are associated with is determined by the major or program you selected when you applied to RCC. We encourage you to attend one of the Concurrent Sessions hosted by your Academic Engagement Center so you can be aware of the many support services and resources available. The five Academic Engagement Centers are listed below along with the majors and programs they support.

Offered throughout the course of the event:
- Campus Tours located on Terracina in front of the Digital Library and Learning Center.
- Student ID's will be offered in the Admissions and Records office located on the 1st floor of the Charles A. Kane Building and, on the 2nd floor of the Digital Library.
- Club Rush and student resources will be available in the Quad and on Terracina Ave.
What should I wear and bring to Welcome Day:
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- Sunscreen
- Bring your own water bottles. Some hydration stations and light snacks will be provided.
